From Simon Neville – Director & Founder
"If you’re an entrepreneur or a professional balancing big ambitions with the realities of a demanding life, you’ll know how difficult it can be to step back and look at the bigger picture. My work is about helping you pause long enough to gain clarity — on what you truly want your life and business to achieve, and how your finances can support that vision."
As one of the UK’s most highly qualified Financial Advisers, Simon completed his MBA in Financial Planning in 2023. His research explored how financial advisers influence entrepreneurs preparing for a business exit — a subject born from decades of working alongside business owners. The insights from this work have shaped the way he supports the entrepreneurial community and have been shared across the wider advice profession to help others raise their standards too.
"As a lifestyle Financial Planner, my role is to help you articulate your long-term aspirations — for yourself, your family, and, where relevant, your business — and then build a plan that turns those aspirations into reality."
Being a business owner himself, Simon understands the pressures of running and growing a business while also trying to maintain a meaningful life outside of it. That’s why his approach integrates both your personal and business finances, so they support each other rather than compete for your time and energy.
Using detailed cashflow modelling, Simon helps you visualise your future — not as numbers on a page, but as a life taking shape. You’ll see the impact of key decisions, explore “what if?” scenarios, and gain the confidence to move forward whether you’re planning to:
"Whatever your goals, I’ll help you chart a clear path towards them — and I’ll walk that journey with you, every step of the way."
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
Please note that advice with regard to exit strategy planning may involve the referral to a service that is separate and distinct to those offered by St. James's Place.
